Minimum Research Allocation
Join NTEU’s collective application to get your minimum allocation for research.
NTEU is now making a collective workload review application to UniMelb management for staff not currently getting the minimum to have their 2025 workloads adjusted to reflect the minimums required under the enterprise agreement. These applications will seek adjustments such that employees receive the full benefit of the agreement provisions from the date they came into effect in April this year.
Example: A permanent academic employee on a 1.0FTE fraction has only received a 10% non-teaching/education allocation for 2024, instead of a 20% allocation.
NTEU’s proposed resolution through workload allocation: The employee’s workload allocation is adjusted to provide at least 30% non-teaching/education allocation for 2025, thereby receiving an average workload allocation which is consistent with the Agreement minimums over the two calendar years.
NTEU will provide the University with the details of staff not currently getting the minimum. These details will then be shared with the relevant schools or faculties, who will undertake workload reviews for those staff members.
To join the collective application, submit this form by Thursday 10th of October 2024. To be included in the application you must be a member of NTEU. If you are not already a member, you can join here.
